I think this bird looks size appropriate for it's age.
I don't know about the sex, though. Could it be a pullet at the point of lay?
You should be getting a crow or an egg soon.

because no pullet would have that much and that red comb and wattle, I can get a pic of mine that are that age to prove it!

Her comb and waddle do worry me sometimes but thats not everything her tail feathers are round nicely developed and she just has a pullet body.
