Cockerel? Cochin Bantam

Poorly marked partridge. He could molt out better latter, which is very likely.
Thank you! He's just past 3months so I know he has lots of changing left to do. If nothing else it looks as if he'd be a good companion to my timid polish roo. Which would be awesome so my timid guy has a friend.

Hi

I'm thinking this is a cockerel. It's either a gold laced or partridge. Either way, poorly marked. Total sweety, haven't observed behavior indicators & right now is in with a Polish cockerel & a couple of hens the same age with no issues. I just added the others to the polish this morning, they'd been separated for weeks.

This looks like the same breed. I just got these 2 today. The guy thinks they are cocks but they are skidish and dont fight. Any idea on exact breed and whether pullet or cock?

The one in the front is a Buff Brahma cock. I can't see the other one well enough to determine breed, but I do see sickle feathers so both are male. If he looks the same then he's likely a Buff Brahma as well. Brahmas are a similar breed to Cochins in their hatchery stock form.

Yep, Buff Brahma. Bantam or not can't tell from the photo.

This is 1 of my Buff Brahma Bantam pullets, the other is in the background.

Closeup (blurry, sorry--moving target!) of my cockerel--you can really see the spill feathers.

Another of the pullets with the back of "Esther's" head

There's my cockerel in a group shot...easy to see the spill feathers & the body shape difference. That's "Esther" on the crate.

One of my pullets

Another group shot with 1 of the pullets & the cockerel...even from above pretty clear difference between the different breeds/varieties.

Blow are both girls again with "Esther" & that's my mystery boy who's too timid to be outside with the whole group. I brought them in to see who'd like to be his friend. Happily, they all got along except I believe all of them started to wander my living room. Well, my mystery boy (Sherlock) doesn't. He just hangs out in his area. Once I have his place built & wired off he'll move outside again then I'll give him a friend or two to live with him.
