At what age can a cockerel fertilize a hen, when mating? Our rooster and hens are 4 1/2 months old and mating. Wondering if eggs can be fertile now? Or too soon?

Yes, they should be I read them it best to breed your rooster when he starts to mate! My roosters are over 8 moths but when I bred them they were younger them that and my chicks hatched just fine!! Beautiful rooster by the way!! What breed is he?
