Cockerel hiding in coop all day, "vomiting" clearish liquid.

Update, his crop was smaller this morning but still felt like a small waterballon.
He is in his own 25 sqft. cage with access to water with garlic in it for good measure. He is drinking on his own.
I'm working on getting the drugs and food to feed/treat him.

I havent seen his poop yet. Not sure where I can get a fecal test done, but I'll research that.

Thanks for link!
Hes 4 months old, hatched from egg. I actually have a 1 year old and five 4-month old roosters currently, although I was/am in the process of getting half of them to new homes.(I just want to make sure they are healthy now)
Luckily his beak is not cracked, he just has some "color leakage" on the tip of his beak. Most of his hatchmates have all black beaks, but his was always white on the tip. :)

Of all my chickens(16 of them) he has been my favorite personality wise. It was so weird to see him hiding and not eating.

Do you have a vet for other animals? If so, ask them if they will do a fecal test for you.

So far no poops. Yes, I have found a couple vets willing to do it.

Hes now on the fungal cream, and has water in his pen.
When should I offer him food?

He puked up more liquid when i was administering the cream. It had no scent.

OK, here are 3 poop pics. The straw and sticks are just stuff that blew into his area, were not in his poop.
Any telling signs? I've withheld food, but I dont even know if he would want to eat.

Was the crop more empty this morning?
felt empty, wasn't bulging, but I could still feel it, like a mini water balloon in there.

Offered him yogurt and he doesnt seem to want to try it, prolly cuz it looks like the anti fungal, not sure.

OK Re-check it again in the morning. I know it seems repetitive, but believe me, I would check during treatment and then get in the habit of checking crops weekly. That's just me, but sometimes you can catch things before they become a big problem.

I don't like the way that poop looks, but if all he had was water, then let's look at it tomorrow when you give him a bit of chick starter. I would see if he would eat some wet chick starter, if not dry is o.k.

Thanks, is the treatment basically just emptying it over and over until condition gets better? Im a bit confused on all the sour crop info Ive read as far as treatment goes.

If you are referring to turning the bird upside down to empty the crop you may want to do more research. There is a risk of inhalation/choking with that method.

Poop looks more solid and grey this morning. I tried feeding him eggs, which he didn't go after, he only tried to eat the wasps and flies that landed on it.

I will attempt a small amount of moist chick starter. His crop still doesn't feel normal to me, but it hasnt been huge either.

I've been feeling his crop every day since this started, and it feels softer than all the other young chickens in his run.

I'm still giving him the monistat 2x a day. He's become quite skinny under his feathers.

I never ended up doing this, so no worries on that part. Its crazy though, because when you Google sour crop, 99% of anything I found said to do this and not much else.
