Agree, the better lighting makes all the difference. Looks like a buff Orp pullet.

The bird on the left, though, is all rooster.

Oh yes he's definitely a rooster, he's a black rose comb bantam. I love him, he has such a good temperament! I don't have a good pic of him though. But here is my silver Phoenix bantam who is also pretty nice, the bantams are more my pets really lol!
