I'm not sure if that's a rooster either, the comb is pretty small yet. The ones I have this year the combs pinked up pretty early but didn't enlarge, I was pretty sure at least one was a rooster but it's comb hasn't gotten any bigger. My chocolate Orpingtons I can clearly see the difference in comb size between pullet and rooster at 4 months.

Orpingtons in general feather up slow and the rooster feather a lot slower. Orpingtons don't generally start laying until 6 months, or even later. This time of year it could take 7-8 months for some to start.

The little chick is only about 7-8 weeks right now, and does show the personality of a rooster. Where the older one, the main one in the post, is about 18 weeks give or take.

I do agree though at this piont im not seeing much more in the chick then I did in the older on at the same age

Just becuase... I was out in the run filling the feeders and figured dunce I had the phone in my i would get as many pictures of the 2 lavender as i could.

Since apparently I'm the only one playing here, I say roosty is a pullet and the second one is a rooster.

At this point im just posting more pictures gives me some where to post rather then a new thread. I think I've accepted that roosty is a pullet, but i haven't decided to actually post a thread about chicka yet. But thank you. I honestly didn't even expect another comment at this point

Actually looking back at roosty's first pictures he had almost no waddles and a much smaller comb compared to chicka right now.
