Cockerel or pullets? Lavender Orpington

Ok, now I know "my problem" ... You have 2 posts going, I saw "Chickens trying to confuse me again" but not the "Cockerel or pullet? Lavender Orpington" .... Sorry about that. Roosty for sure a male LOVE Orpingtons & someday will get lavenders :fl

Well this one is a bit older but that's part of the problem. If Roosty is male then it can't be his egg in the other post meaning it has to be that the other hen simply laid 2 eggs. But I know from watching other posts as soon as someone asked what chickens I have someone would question if Roosty was really a rooster. Becuase its not normal for a hen to lay 2 eggs so close together and so fully formed.
 
It's not 'normal' but it can happen cause I've had a few RIR that did then skipped a day. They were in single cages & didn't happen often, think maybe the RIR and Sex Link layers maybe more prone to the quirk? Lucky you, poor hen. Just jumped back to your other post, Mildred (hen having laid 2 in 1 day) not up to pare? Hope she's feeling better soon, probably tired & sore.

Ok, mystery solved.....Roosty a Cockerel & Mildred laid 2 in 1 day ;)

Yes, hopefully it is just this whole 2 egg issue that has her out of sorts today. I'll know more tomorrow i guess
