I have two 2 month old EE's, part ameraucana and part frizzled cochin, I'm pretty sure one is a cockerel but I want to know when the tail pumes start taking shape. Thanks!

All of mine really started showing their sickle feathers (the plume) around 10 - 12 weeks or so, but keep in mind each breed and each bird is different; developing at their own pace.

I think it probably varies wildly because of the mixing of breeds to get EEs. My little cockerel is 8, almost 9 weeks now (gosh, time flies!) He already has a fairly long, arching tail. But, if I remember right, Cochins are slow to mature and have fairly stumpy tails as youngsters so you may be in for a long wait.

Yeah, I can see a potential shape in the tail, but it is not very full and he is 12 weeks old.
