This is a Partridge Olive Egger chick (I think….it’s from MPC Blues/Greens assortment so could be any of
Snowy Easter Egger, Blue Easter Egger, Cuckoo Bluebar, Partridge Olive Egger, Super Blue Egger, Silked Easter Egger, Blue Favaucana) who hatched May 10th, so nearing 4 weeks old now. I got two striped chicks in my order and they are each feathering in COMPLETELY differently. In fact, this is the only one of my six (supposed to be all female) chicks with biggish comb and hasn't developed many tail feathers yet. I'm pretty sure I have a cockerel here but am wondering if anyone thinks there is still hope he's a she? I've "thought" I've had males before and been wrong, but now that I see this one, it's almost like a big "A-HA" moment...so THAT'S what a cockerel looks like.

Photos are from this morning…
long tail feathers chick vs. no tail feathers chick…
I thought no tail feathers = male?

Looks like a pullet to me.
Your pics aren't very good besides the first one and the bird isn't actually a partridge so I'm working with that for my opinion.
What's the difference in this bird and the other that is the same mix?

Appears to be a pullet to me too but often times the female chicks do develop their tail buds before the male chicks do. You may have to wait a little longer and see how it develops. Good luck and have fun...

Thanks for taking a stab at it! I’m guessing the breed from these possibilities- the MPC blues/greens mix. I think it’s the only striped chick? Also attaching some better pictures….

Here we are at 5 weeks…I will be shocked if this bird doesn’t crow…
