Agreed but can be hard to tell for sure with the coloring. Plus the comb looks pretty big and red. Although I see a lot of red combs so maybe heat or something?

The Silver Laced Wyandotte looks like it might be a rooster, but then again I’m not totally sure just because I have seen hens with that much comb and wattle, but since it’s a deep red color it makes me lean more toward a rooster. It kind of seems hard to tell, so I would wait and see on that one. Give it a few weeks and if it doesn’t develop a larger and darker comb and wattle, I would say it’s a hen. I’d wait and see if I were you for the Silver Laced Wyandotte. The Jersey Giant is definitely a rooster though. It has large, dark comb and wattles for that age. So the Jersey Giant is definitely a rooster. All the other chickens, except for the SLW and JG are for sure hens.

It can be hard to tell from pictures because of the lacing pattern but are the neck feathers On the SLW pointy at all? The actual feather not the pattern. Cause the new pictures they kind of look rounded but in the first ones they looked pointed and that is a lot of comb and wattle for that age and very red.

Well the size and feather coloring isn’t why I was thinking it. The comb and wattles are huge and very red for only 8 weeks old and hens don’t have tails like that.

My Jersey Giant is older maybe 10 weeks right now.

That’s good then! It might still be a hen then! Although sometimes they don’t develop the pointed feathers until a little bit later on so I would still wait and see on that one. I think the rest are hens though but I would definitely watch the Wyandotte and possibly the other Wyandotte too.

The SLW May be female. Definitely questionable, but I wouldn’t give up hope.

The BJGis definitely male. They grow a bit slower, so that much comb and wattle at this age is a good indicator of male. Saddle feathers should be making an appearance in a couple of weeks.
