I need some help. I ordered 6 baby salmon faverolles with the intention of keeping four as backyard girls. Sadly, two of them died within the first few days. So now I have my final four girls, but I'm getting nervous that Astrid isn't a lady at all. One, all the other girls have full (but little wings) at 2 1/2 weeks old but Astrid just began getting tiny feathers a couple of days ago. My real concern is that the wings that she is getting are black feathers so she is likely a he. I cannot keep a rooster here, so I will need to figure out what to do. Thoughts? How likely is it that Astrid is really an Arthur?
Side note- these girls are from MyPetChicken because I could not find this breed anywhere locally in Denver

Don't give up yet. Could be other reasons for the differences.
