Code 13?

Hubby had informed me at his workplace that is letting five people go because of Code 13. I know the newspaper place making profits in the last few quarters but not understanding why the meaning of Code 13. It has ticked off alot of people and not ONE person can figure out what Code 13 is/was.

Does anyone know what the Code 13 is in a workplace????? Can the employer have the right NOT to tell their employees what Code 13 or why they are letting them go? Or is it more to the story than they are telling us?

I have never heard of Code13. But I know my state is a right to work state. one thing that means is that an employer can let any worker go at any time for no reason. Not sure if that answers your question or not about if an employer has to let you know why you are being let go.
