Today is my birthday celebrating the last year of my 6th decade. Next year is the big 7-0. Not nearly as intimidating as 30 was. Cried for a week when I turned 30. Think ahead of facing 70 and I kinda mentally shrug and go..yeah, so what? I made it, that is the BIG deal.

Thanks Ladies-eight. I've had enough health scares that every birthday is a blessing. For some reason the 70s don't frighten me the way 'decades' did when I was younger.

A very Happy Birthday to you!!! I didn’t like my 30th birthday either. I think it was other events in life but I gotta say 65 is the best yet!

Same here, Sequel. Life from 30-52 was just plain horrible. Then I met my DH and life became great. 60;s weren't bad except for the severe back and joint pain that they couldn't diagnose. Then last year they found out it was being caused by diverticular disease causing nerve inflammation combined with the osteo/rheumatic joint inflammation I have. Who'd a thunk?

I'm hoping the upcoming 7th and God willing, 8th decade of my life will be smooth sailing. I'd like to outlive my dad who made it to 94 and died peacefully in his sleep. I'm working hard towards that goal!
