My son is like that too.
You need a good sleep routine, I do: no caffeine after 4 pm, shut off all electronics, so no screen time 1 hour before sleep, I read for about 30 minutes and then put on a sleep mask to make it pitch black, and then I fall asleep in a few minutes. Some say sniffing lavender oil before sleep really helps also. Its a good routine that seems to work well for me.
My Wife does Yoga and reads before bed and she swears by that.
 
Me too! I read that people with trouble falling asleep have a higher chance of dementia than people who wake up and can’t go back to sleep. I have both so I wonder what that means?
I've read that during sleep is when the brain "washes" itself, and is therefore vital to brain maintenance.

Sleep is NOT overrated, it's underrated, IMO.
