Cancelled the bus trip to grocery store today - just didn't feel like dealing with it.
I wouldn't be caught 'dead' on a bus in these times.
But I guess if that's the only way to get there....sigh.

They are limiting the number of folks in the market at any time - one out/one in.
Everyone being compliant?
Hopefully better than the 'riot' in Lansing yesterday ranting to oust the Gov for stricter restrictions.

Are you out of food @drumstick diva? I hope not. I've heard some parts of the country are low on regular food. Not the case here, just can't find toilet paper. I heard on the news that one town in Massachusetts passed a town law for restaurants to start selling grocery items. I just wish they would come up with a better plan for us older folks rather than having to get up before the chickens and wait in line within our one hour allotment. And was there really a riot in Michigan @aart? I'm not getting a whole lot more than local developments on the pandemic and the latest "posturing" in Washington.

There was a monitor at the door telling when folks could access the market. Generally she's the waitress at the restaurant there. I asked for eggs over easy - she stared, then recognized me and laughed, "No eggs or rye toast today, George."

I don't understand some of your governor's restrictions. Seems like outdoor activities should be encouraged - our governor closed down all state and county parks = abuse on the part of some folks. Counties feel they should have jurisdiction. Our local park remains open, and folks are behaving.

They had to ban parking at the beaches because people were hanging out in large groups, not social distancing. But our Governor is encouraging people to go for walks or ride a bike, just practice social distancing while they’re out and to wear a face mask.

Well, it was a 'protest'...people were supposed to stay in their cars, but did not.
They were blocking the entrance to an emergency room.

Many don't....so her new edicts were misunderstood, misposted as 'Shock and Awe headlines', then spread like a wildfire version of the game 'telephone'.
Michigan has one of the highest numbers of infection and deaths, most are around Detroit, other areas want exemptions. Pretty hard to manage, eh?

ETA. It's hard to find good and true info.
All her press conferences should be linked on the front page of the dot gov site....but they are hard to find.

I’m sorry. I guess I’m spoiled because my Governor is doing such a great job. We’re in the middle of our surge right now and our hospital beds are only at 50%. He’s been very proactive with the planning. We even have local manufacturers stepping up to produce PPE for the health care workers. I hope for only the best in your state.

I live in a village (too few people to be called a town) but, NOTHING is coming out of our Village Hall. No newsletters, nothing. Maybe our ruling class is gone - they weren't any good to begin with. I only used to go downtown to the post office (5 miles round trip) but, prefer to mail from somewhere else now.

In re: my brother claims the PO's (everywhere) are doing so badly that they are likely to all close. Great what can I do with a bunch of "Forever" postage stamps? Maybe I should mail all birthday cards for the entire year now - just in case. Heck Christmas in April also.:idunno
