Good morning. Coffee is ready.

Much to my surprise there was no ice even after a few hours of 30 or below. No complaints that the chickens had not drank them down to where they needed filling either. Now I'm back inside and can enjoy my coffee without hurrying.

It sure didn’t feel as cold this morning. Yesterday I barely finished the chicken chores because my fingers were so cold and hurting like crazy.

If the forecast holds true it will be about the same in the morning. We filled feed and watering stations to the point I can sleep in a few extra and let it warm at least up to 40° while I warm up with a cup of good coffee.

I will be ready for a big mug of hot coffee in the morning after breaking ice off the watering fountains.

I am going to get out the water warmers I made and get them set up. No more freezing.
