Good morning! I was reading back on this thread catching up. My DH got a prescription for Eliquis too and he pitched a Royal fit at the price. The medical assistant at the clinic called around and found a better deal at a different pharmacy, and I believe he also got put on another drug.

Some of these are high till the deductible is paid, but the prices do vary from pharmacy to pharmacy and you can check these on the Medicare website. It will tell you what each med will cost at the local pharmacies you choose in your area. When we checked prices the difference in cost for a year was $1200!
 
@Ladies-Eight this is what he is taking instead of Eliquis. It is generic Pradaxa. My DH is taking it after having afib. Good luck Karen! :hugs

I don't get the medication from a local pharmacy, I use my medication program with my insurance.
