What kind of incubator did you get?
OK, I went back and watched the video for this incubator. It has a built in egg candler, and the hygrometer operation is factory set so when the humidity is too low it sets off an alarm so you know to add more water. And the video shows it with the styrofoam removed so I'm guessing that's just packing material.

There's no brand name that I can see on it. I got it from Amazon. It's the 18 Mini Egg Incubator. I chose this one because it turns the eggs and it was on the smaller size. However I don't see a hygrometer. I will likely take it out of the Styrofoam "casing" and see if it maintains heat without it. I can pick up a hygrometer to use with it. I won't be using it for a while as I have 4 BO's arriving on Wednesday.
Does it have a yellow top? This is my "Chinabator". It has an alarm that drives me nuts. It goes off at 45%, so my whole hatch was crazy humid . Terrible results. Hoping I can figure out how to adjust it. Instructions not very good.

Sometimes they tell you to set the incubator on the styrofoam to insulate it.

Morning Club... So happy the hubs made it home finally ...
Sour Thanks for the coffee

He is very happy. He really missed the dogs.

He made a trip out to the coop to see what improvements I had made.

The coffee is on and the tea water is hot. Good Sunday morning all. I hope everyone is well. My contractor friend came over yesterday and took care of my broken, clogged pipe. He's so nice. He's also a farmer and we were talking about all the folks who started raising chickens and adopting dogs since the pandemic started. Apparently most of the farmers around here are all filled up with pre-orders of beef and pork. So I guess I'm not too much more crazy to get set up to raise meat birds. I have plenty of time to get familiar with how this new incubator works. I will take the Styrofoam off but keep it to where I can put it back together if needed. My little dead-end street neighborhood got a bit of a thrill yesterday afternoon. We were treated with a car parade. I'm not quite sure who it was intended for, but it sure was fun. Here's a clip of what my new incubator looks like. But like I mentioned, I have time to get acquainted with it before I start incubating eggs.
