Good morning everyone :frow

Welcome :frow

Very pretty :)

Definitely over this weather :( we had rain, snow, sun and now more rain :barnie

thanks for the coffee ☕ wish we had blue skies :(
We are in for 4 more days of rain. The river already made a huge mess in the woods and knocked down some of the fence hubby just put up!

I don't eat bread, pasta, cereal or any other grains for that matter but I did whip this up for breakfast. Sorry about the over cooked bacon.

See this is where I get lost......wonders about this project.
@aart, this project is 2 years overdue. My father died suddenly and completely unexpectedly on Dec 6, 2017. His loss utterly derailed me. I still think of him daily and miss him terribly.

I think you know I flipped several houses between 2011 and 2017. I can't do that any longer because I am now an Alzheimer's patient care taker and must continue to work as an engineer because I'm a long way from retirement age.

I had nearly finished the kitchen in my parent's house about 2 months before he died. I got my mom moved into a senior living community about 3 months after he died. She moved right back out 10 months later to live in a rental with my nephew who'd just gotten divorced. (Long story there that I don't care to get into right now).

I call it Dad's house and to me it is. Period. But I have to get it finished and sold because it is just sitting there vacant. I've been unable to emotionally due to my ties to it and the fact that he died there in the driveway.

I've battled pretty nasty depression since he died and with the ever steady decline of my partner with AD. But I've gotten myself back in a good frame of mind and am excited to be working and designing again. The house should sell relatively quickly. It's huge and impractical for my mother to live in. It will be great for the next young couple to raise a family in.

Oh well, in that case........
Most of Tribe 1 (Treacle was on escort duty somewhere) on the East bank.

Morning Coffee Shop. Thanks for the coffee Shad.
Got a bit done on Dad's house yesterday. Built most of the knee wall against part of the foundation wall and hung 5 sheets of drywall. The kid I hired ground out most of the cracks in the main basement area and epoxied them. It feels good to get moving over there.
morning dobie :frow
