I'm just getting started so no eggs to sell yet. I'm considering it an investment at this point. Plus the cost of hoop coops, etc.

Yes, start up was fun when we did it, and I couldn't even tell you how much it all cost. We bought our first chicken house for $300 I think and the rest we built.
It really is an investment

Same here.. went and got feed and pumpkins earlier, then went out to rake pecan leaves that had fallen.. didn't take too long to get all sweat and hottie out there.

Your right, went to check the mail and it's up to 93 and it feels like it 😞. Yuck yard work, I hope I don't have to do that anymore
