When I was a little girl and spent the night at my Grandma's (she was Sicilian), she always made me a cup of coffee milk in the morning- It had sugar and a LOT of milk. I still drink my coffee with milk and sugar. My mother, part Irish and part Scott, made hot Tea every morning that it was cold. I loved it with milk and sugar and dipping hot buttered toast in the tea-mmmm. I still drink hot tea in the cool to cold months and iced tea in the hot months I AM from the South)

I drink hot tea all year round with splenda and heavy whipping cream. This is how my mother drank her tea. My father drank coffee black.

I have tried to drink coffee. I tried it black, then black with sugar, then black with milk, then black with cream, then black with sugar and milk and/or cream. I still cannot stand the taste of coffee. Don't get me wrong, but I love to smell a good pot of coffee while it is perking.
The smell of coffee brewing on camping trips was where my love of coffee started! At first with milk and sugar then black by the time I got to high school.
