I have all but two of my teeth. Broke one ice skating and one wisdom tooth abscessed and was pulled. Not certain that keeping them has been worth the $ and effort.
Lost 4 front teeth in car wreck when I was 15- get a new partial about every 10-12 yrs. need a new one soon, but my dentist retired. Yes, I don’t know why they are so expensive. Now debating having my uppers pulled and getting a full denture. So many decisions…

Good Morning everyone :frow moving slow here :(

That seems to be a morning ritual with me.

Major thunder storm right now. Doesn't bother Maggie one bit - thankfully. All three of our goldens hated storms.

We have two "Doxies" one is scared to death of a storm.

My husband has to take Bridget to bed, cover, her up, and hold her tight.

The Gretchen is not afraid of anything.

:wee:wee:wee:wee:wee

Good morning one and all!

Water, tea, and condiments are ready for your enjoyment.

Grab a cup whenever.

Have a great day!

I’m sorry you have to make that decision. I guess a lot would depend on the condition of the rest of the teeth. It would be nice to have dental coverage as part of Medicare, I don’t know how the health of your teeth isn’t considered medical. A relative who lives in Arizona goes to Mexico for cheap dentistry, I guess there’s a thriving business in border towns. Sorry if my half asleep babbling is unhelpful, I wish I could wave a magic wand and have new ones grow in for you!

You could have them all capped with the four teeth put in place permanently. They could also be put in with implants.

My lower denture clips on to implants which keeps them in place.

Wonder if it is a doxy thing to be afraid of thunder. My Jasper (a chiweenie) is terrified- has to be in my lap. My Penny ( an unknown mutt) isn’t afraid at all And usually sleeps through most storms.

Yeah, would like that, but for my uppers, I always feared implants. My bones on the top may not support them- I have a lot of wires up there and had several surgeries in that area.

If you get a good dentist that is well versed with the implant system he could tell what you can do.
