[Ladies-Eight]

Good morning one and all!

Water, tea, condiments, lemon, and ice are ready for your enjoyment.

Grab a cup or a glass and sit awhile.

The neighbor had some fireworks, although he usually has a giant show but not this year.

My doxie is afraid of thunder and fireworks. She literally shakes, pants, and cries.

It rained off and on all day long yesterday. The rain was coming in bands.

I had to watch closely to be able to go to the coop to take care of my chickens.

Morning ya’ll. Coffee on with big old hot buttered biscuits. Went to feed the hens this morning. Predator got my Margaret- cross beak, blind in one eye BCM I raised from day 1. She was nearly 3 yrs old. I think it might have been an owl early this am. I buried her in the side yard near the Hydrangea. RIP sweet Margaret. Will be locking the girls down tight from now on- and watching for aerial predators.

Good morning! It was very quiet here yesterday and last night since fireworks were banned because of fire danger. There were a few going off here and there but not close and not many.
The most satisfying thing I did was to wash the sheets, dry them on the line in the sun and put them back on the bed!

Good morning and Happy After-Fourth!

Due to Covid shutting down last year's festivities, ABQ had double the fireworks this year at Balloon Fiesta Park. We watched from our backyard a distance away, but got the booms and eventual expended gunpowder smell. As an added bonus there was a lightning storm during the fireworks display. (Tucumcari logged 500 strikes in 15 minutes.) We set up a dog bed in the deep dark closet, so didn't see our dogs for most of the night.

Not here, very LOUD, Ziva was freaked out at 4pm when a ???? I dont know small mortar went off it all kept up until midnight
