I've been outside cleaning the chicken yards today. I had put a 8 inch strip of metal down next to the main coop for some reason or another and pulled it up today. 3 hens dove in grabbing worms and grubs as fast as they could. When I came in they were still happily scratching around in the dirt, not a care in the world.
I have several pieces of plywood or wood(12x12") laying on the ground in the run, turn them over every few days or so to expose the buggies that have sheltered there.

I do that in the spring to bring worms up. Especially if I remember to lay down the wood or metal sheets before it rains.

It's a hoot though to go out to the run with a shovel. The hens come running and several will jump on the shovel blade the minute I dig it into the soil around the edge of the coop in order to get first chance at the worms I unearth. One or two always jump down into the new hole making filling it a bit of a chore but they enjoy digging around in it and since it's not safe enough to free range them, it's the least I can do to make their lives pleasant.

I saw a good sized hawk to the east of our house this morning in the nearby timber. I think it was a brown shouldered hawk but I don't think it was the same one that last winter roosted on top of my Chiminea that is on the deck. This one was smaller but I'm sure big enough to take out a chicken.

It is Cap, the problem itself and the medication. I can't help feeling that the doctors who prescribe a lot of the medication do so for problems that in the past have been resolved by other methods, or just accepted as the way life is.
I think if I didn't have medication I would be dead by now. It really helps.

agree with you Cap. I've been on a SSRI for many years and realized I don't need it anymore.
I held some back in case I am mistaken. But doing okay without it. I probably would have been dead without it and my doctor.

Cap when I was on brand name Celexa, I only needed 10 mg. Then the generic came out and I got switched to that. I was put on 20 mg. Another Dr. at the clinic asked how I was doing.
I thought I was doing great. Well he decided I should be doing GREATER and upped the dose to 40 mg.

Then HE departed suddenly for NM. I wonder if h was a "real" doctor. Anyway have been weaning myself off and down to 10 mg. with a new doctor's assistance and he has me off of them completely in another week.
