We've got the monsoon season happening, so the 100 degree temps have cooled down to 85-ish and we have late afternoon/evening thunderstorms and (hopefully) rain.

That’s for sure! When it’s this dry even a good shower doesn’t do more than wet the surface. I think it might be a good day to move some wood chips up the hill to the chicken run.
