I always shortened a step hoping to get caught, and then along came the Princess.

Let me brag. Dogs had a good day. Combined class of 20 - exceptional performances all day long - War Cry had two outstanding runs to win the class, and War of Will looked good enough to place fourth. I've been having a lot of fun with these two dogs.

Let me be the first to congratulate you.
My great uncle from Sweden raised championship bassett hounds. He was so proud of them.. I loved going to field trials with him, because he let me drive the jeep (I sat on his lap to drive).

I remember once, one of Uncle Elmer's dogs named Tori went after a deer.. He said "You better not come back". Bassetts are only suppose to run rabbits. Poor Tori.

Congrats Sour, glad to hear they did so well. Do you also work them when there is measurable snow on the ground?

I've got winter boots in 4 different heights- low shoe boots up to tall ones. The last few winters were very mild as far as snow goes and not the bitter cold -0 temps we used to get. Is that global warming???

I know if I get too complacent with it, we will end up with several feet of the white stuff.. One year we did and had a mountain of snow made higher by it blowing off the garage roof.

It was nearly up to the top of the garage door but, I braved it and set an American flag on top and claimed it, in the name of "The United States of America." YES!!

Neighbors ignored me as usual. Well the men folk anyway. They don't seem to like it that even with their snow blower and heavy loads of snow, little, old me with my little old snow shovel always move much more snow than they do. Really like shoveling snow because I instantly see the results of my efforts. And yes, do like beating the men. I'm the only woman who shovels.

My driveway is the third longest one on our block. I really don't need to shovel it because I don't have a car. My brother only comes over on Sundays - so I usually have time to shovel out a parking place for him.
