Things are great now. Texas was hit hard last week- no water for days, rolling power outages in single digit snowstorm. Grateful for all the snow though- boiled a LOT of water for animals, dishes and spitbaths, melted a lot for flushing. All good now, up in the 60's- snow all gone, water, power and gas on. Today I am gonna spread the weed and feed over the yard so the end of the week rains can soak it in.
How do you guys up north do this all winter??? You have my undying admiration. Give the heat in the summer over that anytime.

Morning club more coffee here darn I am up 8 but watching a weather report .. Yup rain just have to dress right my hair is long so tie it up or out the baseball cap here at home have no less than 2 raincoats .. My boot wear is rubber foot short or long I do whine at times

If you live in the northern areas you are use to the winter storms. You look at it as another day nothing special. It's like old hat.

Not necessarily. We are prepped for it, but the older I get the more I dislike snow.

I can understand how you feel.

But when you live in those areas you prepare for winter. In the south when a storm like that hits they are not prepared for it.

I know at my age I would not want to deal with this kind of winter storm.

I don’t like it either, it was fun when I was a kid but after having to drive to work in it the joy went away fast!

We really have not had more than 3 day snow here may have some but does not stick around .. Do not have lock the cars and garage has never been bothered now anythign else here .. Had one neighbor steal eggs started locking the coop it stopped .. Felt if they where not brave enough to say I can't affor them I would have given them then
