And I am back, ☕ ☕ ☕ ☕ ☕ ☕ :caf
I spent Fri. 11th, Mon. & Tues. cutting brush down with my hedge trimmer. Total cutting time about 8 hours. I still had my usual chores to do, I tried to work on brush 9 to noonish or 2.

But, I had all except the rotted rounds left ay noon. When Grandpa came home he split them and finished them up closing down the pile.

So, I am very glad I got that done,
And on the baby chick front, they all but 2 slept on the roost last night

I have 8 of the needle and thread in lockdown
added water to let them, zip

Did you hold the thread/needle in your hand or rig it on a stable and stationary holder?
One person was saying it works for them every try so yes hold both over the eggs see which way it goes 8 inches of black thread held in the hand now due to hatch on the 23rd?

I remember the thread.
Wish they had been more forthcoming about their exact technique.
Holding it in your hand brings human motion into play.
