startling any snake scares the heck out of me!

I'm not normaly affected by snakes, this one was to close for comfort, Sandy was the last one to come thru like wasn't it?

Sandy before Katrina yes just looked amazing they where completely different. yes I cut and pasted to get it right.

Meteorological perspective, the storms were very different.
Katrina was a textbook tropical cyclone, with a compact, symmetrical wind field that whipped around a circular low-pressure center. Like most tropical cyclones, Katrina was a warm-core storm that drew its energy from the warm waters of the tropical Atlantic Ocean. Sandy had similar characteristics while it was blowing through the tropics. But as the storm moved northward, it merged with a weather system arriving from the west and started transitioning into an extratropical cyclone.

Thank you I used google so credit to them taking me the right place .. I am eating dollr pancakes my better half made me put my own blackberry jam on them it turned out great

Made/canned salsa and canned 6 quarts of tomatoes. My canner holds 7 quarts, but I just didn't have the stamina to get another quart's worth peeled. My feet said they were done.

I've been having my first cup of coffee in with the chickens since I took down the dividing fence for integrating the chicks and adults. It's a nice time to sit and just enjoy the morning. Of course, now it's a bit chillier, but after the heat/humidity, I don't mind!

First out of the coop: the chicks. Next, Darl, my roo. Then the alpha hen, then the other two hens. Today, the middle of the 3 hens was the last one out, and she was all kinds of flustered and confused. I put up a roost for the chicks, and Middle just didn't know what to do. Jump down and go under? Hop over to it and then down? Go off to the side and go around? She is not the brightest bird in the flock.

I'm gonna have rework the roost in my coop, seal off the main run for a bit 2 birds in the brooder are way to big now, that'll leave the 2 week old by itself may barrow a young one from my neighbor to keep it company.
