Thought I'd check in to relax a bit but now think I'm having second thoughts.
Okay everybody, group hug time!
Just sitting here drinking my second glass of iced tea and trying to disconnect from everything happening over in the Ukraine. DH and I spent the day outside yesterday trying to repair and replace our 2meter radio antenna that got damaged in a storm last December during those high wind storms that ripped through Missouri. That antenna is on top of a 50 foot mast which has to be dropped to the ground and then once again raised into position. Luckily it was 76 degrees here yesterday.
So we came in and DH cranked up our 2 meter HAM radio and ..... the antenna wasn't working which means tomorrow we get to do the whole thing over again.
Today was grocery day so our wallets are lighter...much much lighter since we hadn't bought groceries since December.
If I were allowed adult beverages I would be making this iced tea a double Manhattan Ice Tea.
