[Sequel]

Thanks for the coffee! This morning I get to go pick up some “old” orchard grass hay for my garden. One year I scored old alfalfa, mulched the garden over winter with the chickens and what lovely dirt!

Afternoon all

Warm early fall day here. In the Mid 80s.

Iced tea for the taking. Coffee still around too for DH.

Killed a 5+ foot long black snake yesterday. Hated to do it but it had tangled itself up in some run netting that was in the barn and there was no cutting it out without risk to both handler and snake so we did the merciful thing. Shame. It was big enough to eat a lot of mice/rats but on the other hand it was also big enough to kill a chicken.

First snake we have seen in years.

Heard that @silverhair67 is in hospital and in need of prayer.

Get better Silver! I miss your sense of humor!
