Grapes like "fertile, loamy, well drained soil." Yeah, and I want a 2023 all electric Ford F150 truck. I'll do what I can for ya, grapes. And drive my 2016 Ford Focus. :gig

I have a F150 truck from 2017.

I love my truck, I love my truck, I love my truck.

Morning everyone!

Last three days have been hectic. We have heavy rain forecast for the next two days. Deadline looming for getting the work done down at one of our ponds. There were scrub willows coming up around the edge that needed to go before they took over. Our pond levels are down about two feet thanks to the drought and it's now or never sort of thing so we were out with chain saws and herbicide trying to cut them back and then spraying the daylights out of them.

Nothing more fun than slogging around smelly pond muck/mud swearing at willow sprouts that are 5 feet away from the main trunk. Hopefully we got them all but hope blooms eternal.

About to make ice tea. Finishing up the last of the coffee. Any takers for iced tea, help yourself, Sweet or plain available.

I got my running around errands done. I scored 5 big bags of used coffee grounds from a Starbucks and put them in "the grape trench." That's the 20' long trench I've dug in clay soil in my heavy soil garden. It's about 16-18" deep. I think I moved 1000 pounds of clay yesterday.

I would LOVE to go all electric, but they are still just too darn costly, We've added lots of Solar to various places in the house and I'd like to go more in that direction. From what I can see the sun is burning out any time soon.
Enjoy the coffee!

It was another gorgeous day. Still pecking away on garden stuff. I got a couple of beds weeded, so those pests don't get to overwinter and get started early next season.

If I'd known how warm it was going to stay this late in the season, I wouldn't have pulled up my tomato plants. I could have covered them on the cold nights easily enough. My neighbor picked tomatoes yesterday -- November 2 -- from her garden.

The rain started, waited for it finish. Brought in all four brussle sprouts.
Once my tomatoes are ripened for dinner I will turn it on the sprouts.
