I am trying to integrate these new pullets. My 2 two year old hens are not happy about that. When I have them fenced from each other they stand close to each other. When I’m working out there I pick up the fencing to let them mingle. They each go their own way until one of the young ones decides to try to join the elders. Man alive the sounds are terrible! So far no blood but geez! Do they ever stop???

Honestly I’ve wondered about that. I think these laying hybrids are pretty tough nuts though. The one with the most venom is my cute little Holly. She’s always seemed so jolly. When they’re out in the yard foraging all I have to do is cluck and say let’s go and bam there she is, first one back in the coop.

Ya well truth is I got 11 eggs yesterday.
2 pains locked up in broody jail, Now I wonder if I let them out or cull them.
