I'm thinking I want a German Shepard as our next dog friend

. I want something that will be a good watch dog, great with my young son, and relatively laid back when not on "duty". One is definitely not in our budget right now, but someday.

Bluemoon, if and when I'm ready, will you share your breeder? Also, is your breeder here in MI?

Carole...best of luck with the hatch...sounds like you're off to a great start!

I keep running upstairs every half hour to check for pips...even though it's way too early yet!

She's getting HUGE. I'll get some pictures later today and post them. She won't be as big as Sampson, but she will be 90 or so lbs. Rigth now she's a bundle of big feet, and puppy teeth.

She wants to chew on everything, and anything outside. She also likes flowers. Any flower she sees, she must eat it.

Sampson was a handsome fellow, I sure you miss him terribly. But it looks like Sophia is a welcome addition, I love that puppy stage- you kow, when NOTHING in the house is below 5 feet and you have no socks or underwear that aren't shredded, etc.

Well all, I've gotta get off of this 'puter and do some things.

Gotta get a quad of bantam Ameraucanas ready to ship to Minnesota this morning.

My Lab Bingo almost shot me one day- he got the gun case with the loaded six shooter in it- (we have no children in this house, ever)- dragged it in the kitchen and was beating it up when I saw him. I was washing dishes and he was about to shoot ME.

Give the toy to Mama, Bingo, good boy, give Mama the gun....

Gun is now way up high, even though he's 4!

Yeah, I could picture Sophie doing that.( Ooooo, what's this???) Thankfully she can't get in the gun closet. LOL

Sampson shot gunned a german beer the MIL gave us for christmas one year.

It dropped on the floor as we were coming in the house, and he got it. All we heard was the can open in his mouth, and spraying all over the place. He happily drank that while we chased him around....

Then he slept the rest of the night .

he was a little cranky in the morning when he woke up too.
