Morning People,
Karl: sorry to hear of your situation. You just have to get down and do some "rock'en and roll'en". I personally have never experienced them.

More rain last night, A good'ole fashion thunder storm. Shook the house, rattled the windows. I'll be starting to make raised bed in the garden this fall. This rain has turn the garden into a mud hole. We are also putting in a strawberry patch and 2 sour cherry trees this fall.

I set the meaties out Monday in the larger pen. This is a different group this time. They are acting like regular chickens. Scratching and foraging instead of sitting in front of the food dishes.

We had a full house last weekend, the rats were over with their boyfriends for breakfast. The better half was beaming with a grin from ear to ear. 2lbs of bacon, 4 batches of pancakes, a bread bowl of fruit, old fashion whip cream, maple syrup and I don't know how much coffee.

Doing some night fishing tonight and possibly camping out.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Got good news from the ct scan,My stone is passed.Now I go to a urologist to see why I still have trouble.
Quercus,I am also ready to put nthe meaties out in the pen.Out of 50 I think I still have 45 left not bad for losses as losses go.
Oesdog I thought he threw tablets and rent the golden calf in twain.
Rancher my wife will argue that point,Since she wants me to stop drinking Beer.I gave up coffee but a man must have priorities.I have cut back on the beer but not stopped.

Hope all are doing well.

Karl - glad your stone is passing and hope things go well with the doc. As for the wife, I have to agree with her about the beer thing. Not that I think it causes stones. I realize some Christians don't see a problem with it but I do. I'm not sure if you know who Billy Sunday was but he preached a great deal against the booze and the trouble it has caused innocent people. I concur since I'm one who suffered at the hands of an alcoholic mother. I do not believe the wine Jesus made was the kind we believe it is today.

As for the golden calf? Moses, burnt it, ground it up, mixed it with water and made the people drink it. EX 32:20.

I'll stop as I'll get accused of preaching. I'm just sharing what I know. I can't understand folks who get offended at the word of God, and those are just the Christians. Bro. Bob used to say if you throw a stone in a hen house the one who squawks the loudest is the one who got hit.

So moving on. Today I had someone coming to buy some chickens and chicks and kept changing the time. First we agreed on 5 then they called and said after 6. Then they sent an e-mail saying around 8. I e-mailed back forget it. I had taken the birds and put them in a box at 5. Tonight was church so I wouldn't be home not to mention the poor birds had to wait til after 9 before I could put them back into their pen. I had to hurry and clean it so they could go back into a clean one as soon as I got home.

No excuse. I think it was a kid playing around. I did receive a phone call and it sounded like a kid too.

I realized this afternoon that I didn't get enough panels of fencing. It wouldn't be so bad except I have to rent a truck to get it home.
