My brother used to keep pigeons and I learned from him to keep feed in a metal garbage can not the plastic. Plastic sweats. So I keep my scratch in a metal can and dump in some DE. I mix it in since it keeps moths from laying eggs. Since I've been doing that I've had no trouble with moths.Picked up a big bag of scratch this spring. I don't give them any during the summer, but today was quite cool, so I grabbed a scoop... looked at it, it's moldy. Gotta dump 25 pounds of scratch. Not going to put it in the compost, wild birds might eat it. I don't know, bury it maybe?
Like wise Congrats. looking forward to pics. Will be camping this weekend. Already my blood must have thinned because the 69 ° seems cold. Will be using blankets I am sure tonight.![]()
