I admit they could have scraped it off the road before painting over it. To paint over it, is lazy to me. At least if they had some carrion bird could have had a meal of it. I hate waste.

As for running over animals in the road. Lots of accidents have happened trying to avoid a collision such as that.

Me I just hold my head up and focus on keeping the car straight. Inwardly hoping I don't hit it, but if I do? Such is life. Much better than swerving and going off the road, or worse into another car.

But I have no sympathy for the coon.

The coon looks cowardly. Yellow stripe on it's back and all. But I agree, scraping it off the road would have been better. Now that paint will kill a lot of birds.

It just seems to me those birds will eat something. Hawks filled up on Coon might leave my chickens alone.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
How is every one ?Why does that sound right and how are everyone sound wrong?
Well I am fine thanks for caring! We been busy around here and when the rush is over I'm gonna work 8 hour days, and revel in springtime!
It is down in the frost range at night around here and we had rain and sleet yesterday ,but soon it will be warm and toasty. The hens are already eating the ftresh grass shoots and clucking their spring time song, I'm sooo ready.

Chicks are starting to hatch... been up since 3am. I'm so scared to miss anything that I actually heated up 2 day old coffee from our stove top perk to take to the barn with me.

It's still good! Need a fork to drink it but it's doing the job!
