Coffee's ready...

I planted them in the bottom but not all the way to the ground as it's hard and not an easy dig.

The Kennebec were eight in the box so I planted 5 on the bottom and 3 over those with a layer of hay and soil between.

If you google Potato towers you'll get lots of ideas and information.

I do recall reading that some potato varieties are better for growing in towers.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
I've been working on the taters a lot this year, mounds not towers ,they seem to be looking good. Well above the soil anyway . Last year was so wet that all the stuff just rotted and weeds took over right away. This year it is dry and watering is all that keeps it going. Go figure huh?
Well nice to talk to you guys .
God Bless

We're currently in Alaska. Leave today. Been here three weeks. Nice place to visit. Views are gorgeous. Saw a Mother bear and her cubs yesterday. Got some pics. Will post when I can.

Daughter got engaged. Wife doing okay. Chickens I will see when I get home. The garden too. I planted before I left.

Weather here is nice but cool for an old guy. State economy about the same as everywhere else. Some things very expensive. Cost of housing in the news like everywhere else. Unemployment and the homeless too. They're starting news about the Pot farms,

Thanks, Berts, I try to surround myself with people, places and things that keep me 'truckin' on'.

Mom often said, "There's nothing wrong with getting old. Now, acting old - that's a sin." Kept her going mentally acute until 97.
