It is going up to 97 today, I love flannel shirt weather in the morning. I can only dream of it right now.77 already.

The garden is a mess. I'm surprised anything survived since I don't think my DD watered much. I was not happy to see that. The potatoes are doing nice. I'll be cleaning up for a few days. Weed whacking will take longer.
Some hens are broody and I will give them eggs to hatch.
At least the house was clean. Some flowers survived too. Others will have to be replanted.
Here are some pics of our trip. It was beautiful and we had a great time. Got a new Smart phone for my b day, so at least one of us is smart.

I took the pics. I'm not photogenic. The market was mostly "stuff". Not veggies or other farm products.

Funny thing about that bear. She sniffed but wasn't the least bit interested in us. I think folks have to work at getting attacked. Course we had no food with us so that might have been it and we were in a car. Too, we didn't mess with her cubs, but then why would anyone?

Hey, Rancher, great early morning shots.

I'm at every two or three hours on bladder duty. Sure raises heck with the sleeping. The medications stink for a variety of reasons. I've tried two and despised both.

Good morning chicken wranglers,
Nice picks rancher. Looks as if you had a great trip.I saw a bear once in the wild ,it was at kings canyon st park in ca. We actually saw the tracks outside of a lodge . It was late may or early June , and the bears were just out of hibernation ,when we saw the tracks I told my friend that we needed to get inside quick. We no sooner had we gotten inside when here. the bear comes ,right were we had just stood. I'm sure he had just finished raiding the trash , and at any rate I was relieved that I did not have to try all that stand your ground and try to make yourself look big stuff.
Sour I have the same sleeping habits sleep a little pee a couple times try again.
God Bless!

We were in the car when I got the pics. She was not interested in us. I'm sure being on the military base, it's wooded and all that, everyone is educated in not feeding the bears. All trash cans a a fortified sort of bin. Of course only a fool would mess with a bear.
Watched DVD's of Alaska and the browns or Grizzlies are more aggressive and bigger. Got pics of them at the Convservation place.

Can you see the difference in size between black and brown bears?

Apparently Elvis is alive and living in Alaska.
