Well, Opa- did ya get your coyote? I slept all day... got up and came back to work to do it all over again tonight. The good news is I'm in the same department with the same patients, that helps. Time to put on yet another pot of midnight java and get ready for another night

Y'all enjoy your rest whilst I am slavin' away

Hey Opa, I don't know which way you're taking to come home, but if you have a hankerin' for Iowa sweet corn then come my way. I just put up 20 dozen, and am happy to send some quart bags home with you if you have a cooler. Bet you can't get Iowa sweet corn that far north.

I truly would love if I could stop and see all of the many wonderful people who have offered so many kindnesses to me. That would certainly make an incredible trip. Traveling with someone as old as my mother certainly requires some adjustments to what used to be my traveling mode. Stops were based solely on the need for fuel. Now it's controlled by the need for potty stops or we've been sitting long enough breaks, or I need to get out and walk around breaks. Still I am pretty fortunate that she is still able to travel at all. In reality I think I am trying to sit an example for my sons.

Mornin All.
Coffees ready, I am half awake sitting here wondering why, 5 30 on a sunday morning and here I sit.
Pea Chicks are singing away baby rabbits are clicking their water bottles,

Just grabbed my first cup...headed out to sit on the deck for a while. No better way to start the day than listening to nature as everyone wakes up.

It's really foggy this morning, so I may see a deer or 2 in the back pasture. What a beautiful morning.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Morning all, what a beautiful day it is. A little chilly start, but supposed to warm up to 70's. I guess it is probably time to close the pool, but we had such a short summer this year that I am not ready to give up on it yet.
I've got my french vanilla coffee creamer today, so I am a lot happier than I was yesterday. Now if only I could have some of that homemade bread to go with it.

It will be a gorgeous day again today.
I love it. But it does keep me outside and I neglect the house.
My best friend is stopping in this morning. I haven't seen him since his little one was born a few weeks ago.
My Daughter called From Basic training. Looks like after graduation we will get to take her to her MO training in Missouri, from Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I'm so excited, ROAD TRIP! I miss her, she will not get to be home until February. So this will be a nice visit. She should be able to be home for Christmas as well.

Hmmm Coffee!

Fort Leonard Wood. I was stationed there in the late 60's as a drill sergeant for an AIT battalion. Last year I was by there for the first time since then and was amazed at the changes. US 44 didn't exist then and we used Rte 66. There were several bars, tattoo parlors, pawn shops and seedy motels outside the main gate and not much else. Now Waynesville has undergone a major transformation. There are major hotel chains, a big beautiful high school, lots of stores, I didn't hardly recognize the place.
Holly what is your daughters MOS going to be? When I was there it was primarily an Engineer training facility.
