Got 14 new fluffy buts in the brooder this morning . Rural King is feeding my addiction . by the way when can I introduce these new babies to my existing flock . I know I need to keep them seperate for at least a month , but then what?

Second cup of coffee is down, so I'm officially awake. Actually I've been awake for hours, but I've done 2 loads of laundry, made 2 apple pies- one for supper and one for the freezer (woot...the Gravensteins are here!), and bread is rising. It is indeed a good day.

Most of the time I have no idea what to make for dinner so the kids do it.
When I do feel like cooking, We eat like kings tho'.

Today it's to the dentist this afternoon. YES! I love getting my teeth cleaned.

Holly O GUess what? I colored my wifes hair last night and it looks great as usual! WE have been coloring it for a couple of years and it always fades back to blonde this time we chose a darker shade of red. I may pley with highlights fri after work. Doesn't that sound like fun ? A husband that would spend an evening with you a bottle of wine and a box of hair color. "not too much wine befor the application please, we still go out in public together. But lots of wine " head ache " after .

Got way too much to do today! I wish I could be canning today, too, like Shelleyb1969. Just can't get to it with other junk that gets in the way!

g'morning all.
I've been up and going since 5am, and determined to get it all done. Pony-up and git er done.

A moment to say goodbye to Patrick Swayze . . . one of the heart-throbs of my teen years who graced the cover of "Seventeen" magazine, and made me swoon precariously in "Red Dawn", and made me understand why mother's in the 50's were upset by Elvis' swinging hips when he did "Dirty Dancing". Good-bye another icon of my youth.
