Oh Karl, I am thinking of you and your scouts! It is pouring rain here right now, with thunder roaring and lights flashing. But I am sure that you will keep that camp full of boys busy and happy, if not mostly dry.

I had planned to finish all my transplanting this weekend. Looks like I'll be getting very wet. The plants will love it anyway.

I am still on my first cup, and it is particularly delicious this morning. The wet air wafts through the window and it smells so fresh and green. Life is good.
Wishing everyone a great day!

The coffee is hot, so all you Flock tenders come n get a cup.
Kismet,, we had our share of rain yesterday Againnn
I had to get a few more plants in.and change around a few chix
My blackie silkie gave me 2 blu n 2 partridge, Wish Icould tell whos a roo I hope not.
I have a few roos now. And the cochins gave me 5 fuzzy butts .
so it was a busy few days.

I am sipping coffee and enjoying the morning hum. Thanks for your concern. The weather was a little inclement but the boys did all right. they slept through the thunder storm and a few of them got soaked. We did a 3.5 mile hike in the rain. It did clear up and get beautiful sat afternoon, but then about 5:00 one of the leaders wifes called and told us a storm cell was moving in and it was a big one so We leaders told the boys to get packed up while it was dry. We packed, cooked supper, and headed home. Saturday night It was bad. and leaving was a wise choice.
On a better note ,my carrots finally popped and Deb and I got a heck of a burn weeding the garden yesterday"she actually looks like a lobster!Have a great day God bless!
P.S. Sissy congrats on the editions to your flock.

Cow is in first stages of calving and I am a newby to cow birthing got to go home and check it out. Googled it and I need to see the bag first and then the head, Wow !

Yup. And then two hooves, one on each side of the head. If you have only one hoof, that's trouble. It's probably doubled back, and you'll have to reach in and straighten it out. I've never delivered a calf, but I have hundreds of lambs. Calves come the same way, only they're much bigger.
By now, she must be all dry and cute as a button with mother protective and nuzzling. I never get tired of birth.
Happy day, Everyone.

I had to call in sick today - - - - I have a 102 degree fever.
This sucks ! It would of been such an easy day at work today - - - BUT now I had to use one of my valuable sick days

M A hope your fever goes down and you convaless with great rapidity.Kismet, Sissy,Whispering W,Have the week end you all find entertaining and restful! God Bless!
