Coffee's ready...

Morning! Up and at work now, after a whiny whiny morning routine with my son. I'm not sure he's feeling very well. He has a dry cough and last night it took him forever to go to sleep - kept coughing. He acted fine until he laid down. Then this morning he was just crabby about every little thing. I told his teacher to call me and I'll come get him if he is coughing a lot or looks worn out/ sick.

That is a really nice assortment, Pelican! I want some of the Silver Laced Wyandottes, too, and my Barred Rock is one of my favorites. And of course I'm so happy to get my Ameraucana's finally!
Glad you found that bootie, Oesdog - I hate it when I loose stuff like that. Which happens a lot to this blondie......

I think I've decided to use part of my raise for working an extra hour a day to hire a housekeeper twice a month. I would just rather spend my time with my family, chickens, ect. than clean - and other people do such a better job of cleaning my house than I do! I had someone doing that for a while after DH passed away and I was so overwhelmed, and it was WONDERFUL. It's actually a friend of mine that does it, so it's even someone I know and trust. I think I'll send her a message and see if she is interested in doing it again.

Math Ace -Yeah, I have curb side recycling that I pay for, but the city is finally putting it in place. It always amazes me that I fill that big bin every week with paper, and often have "overflow" in an old trash can for next week. But I've now signed up for as much on-line document stuff as I could in the hopes that this will cut down my paper consumption.

Sounds like sinus drip - - It kicks in when a person trys to lay down. . .
He may have seasonal allergies or just sinus issues. . . .Especially, if he is fine during the day time.

I have to take zyretic a couple of months a year for the same reason. My son had issues with it too - - so doctor put him on a small dose of a nasal decogestant. . . Check with your doctor if it becomes a regular issue. My son has been on the Rx since about the same age as your son.

Good morning chicken wranglers
Oesdog I love porkroast. My grandma used to do 2 in apot ,1 aporky and 1 a beef and it was delicious espacially with gravy and potatos.
Chicks my boys and daughter have been coughing at night and I attribute it to harvest dust from corn and beens. Good day God Bless!

My son uses clarinex prescription 5 mg. This is available over the counter now - - but I don't know at what strength.
My son is 13 and small for his age. His stregth dosage has not changed in FOREVER.

If it is like zyrtec - - they put the weak stuff out front where anyone can pick it up. The stores put the good Zyrtec ( Called Zyrtec D) behind the Rx counter where you have to sign for it and show ID. You will have to check and see if clarinex has two versions and if it is age appropriate . . .

Also, I would stay away from sudafed ( also two versions available) because of the "boomerrang" effect. After the Rx wears off, the congestion comes back twice as bad. . .

You could call your peditrician and ask them what sinus decogestant they recommend. . .

YES - - the SMOKE from the CAMP FIRE and POLLEN could CAUSE everyting we are talking about - - -especially the smoke

Today is a cleaning day. I am gonna need lots of coffee today. . ..

I like to put the radio on when cleaning. I dance and sing my way to cleanville !

High today 85 F - - I hope to re-seed my garden AGAIN ! ! I am having a horrid time with germination. . .

The only thing that germinated in my peat pots was beets. . . I am going to try the peat pots again and see what happens.

I have been harvesting egg plant and beans from my garden. The seedlings I planted are doing good. So, I have some brocolli, red cabbage, collard greens, and romaine on the way !

Well that is it for today - - Gardening and Cleaning.
EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY !

Good Morning! Quick note before I'm off to a meeting.

My garden is doing fairly well, except the chickens decided to dust-bathe right in the middle and tore up some of the carrots that were coming up.

And I just keep weeding and weeding. Some of the lettuce is coming in nicely, too, but I'm still having trouble with germinating much in the area that gets more sun.

My son is not coughing as much now. I think it was the smoke and pollen he was exposed to while camping. I'll have to be aware of that next time.

Well, busy busy day here. I forgot to tell you guys my best-so-far story of an over-worked single Mom. Thursday my mom picks my son up for me. She called to say she had gotten him, and asked me why on earth he had his pajama bottoms on under his school shorts today. I said, "What?! He still had his pajama bottoms on?" Now, she just assumed that it was a three year old thing and he had insisted on wearing both. I could have lied and said yes, that is it - you just have to pick your battles. But the truth is I must have just pulled his shorts on whithout remebering to take off the pajamas!!

I sure hope his teachers didn't see that!! He's so skinny you couldn't tell he had two pairs of shorts on, at least! Good lord..........

Well, time to wander across the school to my meeting. Have a good day!
