I am soooo sorry for my girls right now as their run is knee deep in yuk!!!!! You know what its like when you get torencial rains for days!!!! Its like the trenches!!!
And worse its begining to smell of chicken poo!!!!!! Thing is I can;t get in there to do much about it right now till the weather lets up a bit and it gets a wee bit brighter? Though they say we are in for more rain again tomorrow and cold over the weekend. If it keep going this way I will have to issue the girls snorkles!!!!! I need to clean the coop but the spiders are scary!!!!!! I am such a coward. Dh usually does all that stuff but his hands are swollen like balloons and he is in so much pain with that and the hip and spine I can;t ask him to dig over the run and help clean the coop. I wish the rain would go away so at least we would have dry for a few days so the ground was not like a quog-mire.
Procesed the road kill pheasant today and he is now in the freezer. Usually we hang for 4 days but this time 5 I think??? Anyhow he didn;t need plucked as the skin just came away lovely. Got two nice breasts and one good leg out of it and most of the other leg. The bad leg sadly was hit - we are usually better at clonking them with the bumper than that but we only lost the top joint! Intestines were not ruptured and that is what counts. Anyhow he ( Fred ) is in the freezer now so will be a nice addition to the Christmas table?
Oh meant to ask do you know anyone who has put up their decorations yet????? The folk who live opposite put theirs up on 3rd November????????????? I was going to run out and tell him he got the wrong month??? - Deffinately Christmas decorations with Santas etc so not confussed with Halloween lights. When do you all do yours????
You guys cellibrate Thanksgiving and we don;t so that must be soon for you???
