Coffee's ready...

Good morning people,
Looks like today is going to be the last nice day for a couple of days. It was a nice run of good weather. Splitting wood and the "final" mowing of the lawns is in store for me today. The puddle is gone, but it is soggy back there. The better half signed me up to help the neighbors put a roof on their barn (their barn burnt down a couple of years back) and deliver drywall to Prattsville.

Enjoy your day, the wood pile is calling........................

Good morning chicken wranglers
Our run of good weather is supposed to change today, back to cool and rainy. It is still clear out right now so we will see.Prattsville huh and a barn roof?
The last barn I roofed was 20 years ago and it was a strip and roof job.I could not get any body to stay up there with me because of the hieght and the pitch. Is it tin or shingled?Good luck and be careful!
Sorry about the cat rancher,Darcy isnt gone for good is she? She won't forget you rancher and they will be back to visit.
Had the blacktop done yesterday but we cannot drive on it until tomorrow so we must park in the rode.It will be so nice to plow blacktop instead of gravel when it snows.
God Bless!

Plow what is plow snow? Must admit, in city and now with coop and run on sde of house then my trailer I just have the end of the driveway to do. Pull the car out and let it shake the snow off in the street for the city to take care of.

Still seeing shadows but the clouds are rolling in here in Pittsfield.

I guess that a guy could just kick it in 4 wheel drive and run on down the lane wheels spinnin engine blazing ripp roaring onto the hard road. But the little ladie and the 80 year old neighbors need more traction lees slippage!

Well the Lord knows I couldn't live without my snow blower. I've already had it out to make sure it will start. I've got electric start on everything I can. I just can't be yanking on a cord. It's quite the trip to the hoop coop and no way could I shovel out there. Maybe if we got snow a couple of inches at a time but last year just when I thought were done we got 2 feet over night. Help me Jesus!

Anyhow take care folks, no school today so I'd better take advantage of my time off. Rain is in the forcast. Ta, ta for now,

Rancher

Morning people,
No rain yet..........but it's only a matter of time. I might be able to get the wood done this morning if it doesn't ran. We have only needed one fire so far this fall.

Karl: Prattsville, NY was hit pretty good with Irene. Something like out of 100 buildings, 4 are habitual. They are looking for building supplies and help. A local lumber yard that has a store in one of the surrounding towns is giving us a "contractors discounts" for supplies. The big box stores can't match it. As far as the roof, yepper it's a metal one.

rngrbill: I am going to be in your area tomorrow helping out my father, getting everything ready for winter.

Sissy: It's funny, we have a blacktop driveway that we are letting it fall apart. A couple of times every year we have contractors stopping in with "good" deals to fix it. I like the dirt/stone driveways.

Rancher: That's one of my projects for next week. Making sure the snow blower is ready for work, charging the solar, moving wood. All that "pre-winter" fun stuff.

HELLOOOOOOOOOO OSEDOG, CHICS AND MATH........................

morning folks,

hard to type hurt wrist working to fix the door to the coop. needs storm to keep the floor from rotting. had to replace a part of the floor and removed the door which is heavy.

Prattsville, ny? DS and his live in Millbrook , AL and that is near Prattsville where they used to live.

Sissy, sorry for your trouble. Perhaps in the future you can work with a set up and half a doz chickens. Being in TN it's got to be easier than in NY.

rngr - if I had that kind of help my wrist wouldn't hurt.

Take care folks gotta run rain this evening and still have to finish the door.,
