Coffee's ready...

Good morning chicken wranglers
Whew, my construction era is almost over! the men poured the last of the drive and parking lot.Only 2 machines to move in and set, so then all we have to do is move the office, the tool crib ,ooooh now I've depressed myself again, one thing leads to another and on and on.Well I've been so busy I haven't had time to post but I haver missed all you guys immensly. Our little chats "sometimes aurguments"
and coffee!
Ya'll have a great day God Bless!

I have been busy building another brooder / temp coop for the batch of chicks that I am incubating right now...

This is the view before paint... REMEMBER, I am in Florida so keeping the chicks warm is not a big issue right now. Temps will soon be reaching the 100's on their own....

This is what is looks like with the doors closed and painted...

Very nice! My BLRW is still perky, but one eye is still completely shut and I don't know what else to do for her. I came home early today due to not feeling well, so now I am on the couch catchong up with you fine folks. Going to make some Echenechia tea now and try and nap. I must have woke up four times last night.

Morning People,
Looks like another nice day here. We are slowly drying up after last year. The crab apples are blooming. I started some tomatoes, cantaloupes, peppers, butternut squash from seeds this year. I haven't done this in years.

We are off to find a B-17 crash site today. It should be a good bush whack.

Chicks - Hope you are feeling better.

Ace - Good looking brooder. How many birds you plan on passing through it?

Karl - You'll never be done with construction............

Enjoy your day

I just added some more pix to my Tuscan Chicken collection (link in my sig below). They are some real Italian beauties. Let me know what you think!

I'm going to start building an addition to my run next week, so we can get some young chicks next month to keep our girls company.

What kind of rooster is the one with the white speckled chest?

No idea, but I hope to meet the woman who has that beautiful little flock, with some nice bantams together with the big'uns. I took more pix today, but she wasn't around. If I see her today or tomorrow I'll introduce myself and ask. I fly home on Sunday, but I get here pretty regularly, so if I don't meet her this time, maybe I will next time.

I'll add more photos to the folder this evening.

Good morning people,
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm off to help put the dock in at my father's place today. The peas and spinach are just starting to make themselves known in the garden. Hiking was a blast last week, we did find the bomber, but it was a B-25 instead of a B-17 or B-24 as stated before. On a different hike, we flushed a black bear. I don't know who was more startled, us or the bear. We all sort of stood there and stared at each other. After it moved off about 100', the better half came back to life and was excited about seeing it.
Temps dropped here, but we are getting much needed water. From what we can see of the reservoirs, they are low. I'll be doing a second mowing this week...........

Enjoy your day
Kaj
