Good morning chicken wranglers
It is a good day! I'll go home at noon and get in the pool to rest and relax!Don't know if wine is in order,but I think I'll keep a good thing going and pass on the wine" though the vino can make good things happen".Coffee and the wife should suffice for the day,Kids in school and the house to ourselves should make the day a bit better than usual.
The geese and the ducks met me at the gate this morning,man are they noisy.The one eyed gander sounds the alarm even when there is no need.
It got up to 99 yesterday so the pool should be just right and I'm due for some R&R.

A belated HELLO sissy..............

Good for you Karl, a little r & r never hurts anyone. You are still getting hit with hot weather? It's been in the upper 80's here, dropping to mid 50's - 60's at night. Your kids are back in school already? School doesn't start here for a few more weeks.

What kind of wine does everyone like? I like a white or blush wine, nothing dry.

I know I found a good beer "Roscoe" pale ale. I know, you are suppose to drink beer "warm", but a frozen mug and ice cold beer...........It's hard for me to put the mug down.

Off to unloading lumber.

We have rain here rain and rain and more rain. I am going to spain!
We are making strawberry wine at the moment it is nice. Why would anyone drink warm beer ????? Are you insane??????
That is like ice - coffee/ T ??????? It simply is NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Iced coffee is soooooo good. especially when made with good vanilla icecream. would love to be afloat with wine in hand. Getting Meeting DSL at the Cummington Fair Saturday for the ox draws. (www.cummingtonfair.com) It is wonderful how some of these teams work together. Then DD come home from KY for a big family wedding (a neice). We will be camping for that. weather promises to be good. Oes I hear the rain in spain falls mainly on the plain. so hope good weather for your trip. Praise God for your DH's recovery.
As far as beer I like a nice stout or porter serverd at "cellar" temperature.

A friend of mine used to make really well...................... flammable peach brandy. It was like eating peaches, but with a nasty ole kick. The recipe is lost, he never gave it out.

You would get along good with our oldest rat rngrbill. She drinks stout warm.........

Wisky warm , brandy warm, Rum either hot or cold, ( warm spainish Honey rum yum - I'm in spain in my mind already!) coffee has to be Hot can't get my head around coffee cold let alone ruined by Ice cream ??? - Who puts their dessert in their coffee to make it cold?????? Weird!!!!!!!

Beer - well that is a no brainer COLD COLD COLD!!!!

I take Disaronno Amaretto and put it in the freezer for a week or so. Then enjoy over ice.

Good morning chicken wranglers
I'm at work making coffee and I just heard the pot run over and realized I have not emptied the previous pot out.The old has been there since Friday,but mixed it does not even taste old!
All this talk about mixed drinks ? I hope I do not disappoint you guys when I say that /i did not imbibe and All I Did Was enjoy a little alone time with the wife.Now I won't be able to top that one for a year at least.It was 100 degrees out Friday and we took complete advantage of the heat.Shedding all things unmentionable and behaving in a very honeymoon like fashion.Don't see a redo in the near future and next time it may take a little of the spirit to loosen the reins like that again.So much for my weekend then I whipped weeds around the pond all day Saturday ,luckily it did rain yesterday so I sat around all day after church.Took in a movie with the wife and kids,nothing spectacular after that now work and It seems I never was gone from here.
