I have 4 - 6 week old chicks (silver laced black W, x2 Easter eggers, & a buff). It's 60-70F during the day & 40-50F @ night. I'm building a coop so until it's ready (~ 1 more week) they're staying on my screened in raised porch in a 4'x4' pen. They get to go out during the day. My question is, @40F is it too cold for them @ night? I use cardboard on breezy nights to help keep our drafts but other than that they are essentially @40F. Thanks

6 weeks is almost feathered out. 8 weeks is general accepted time. You are in Georgia, so not in deep freeze country. I think they will be OK, Try to keep them sheltered during night so not subjected to drafts.
Try to see that they are fed before they go nity nite. All calories count to help them produce body heat.:thumbsup
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,, and :welcome
