Cold water

So I have 4 chicks in a room that is 65f with a heating pad they are happy but is cold water a problem? I just got them today they’ve eaten a lot but drunken not as much. I made sure they know where the water is so not sure if this is a problem.

Cold water might shock their system. Room temp is better

It's probably okay, but it's better to bring the water up to a tepid temp so it doesn't suck the body heat from the bodies.

Cold is not necessarily bad. Depends how cold.
If it is just above room temperature they should be fine.

If you use room temperature or warm water it will evaporate quicker because of the heat lamp. I use water that is a bit colder than room temperature.
