Cold weather coming to NH "HELP"

So I have two very small OEGB's and winter is coming. Do I have to put extra heat in my coop, bring them in for the winter or can they just live with the rest of my flock with out making any special changes.

Hi and welcome to BYC We're so happy that you've joined us Sorry, I'm not familiar with OEGBs. As a general rule with good ventilation above the birds and keeping them dry they do fine. Someone should be along shortly more familiar with your breed.

Keep them dry, draft free and well fed, and they should be fine. They are a pretty tough breed.

I live right above you ( Maine) and they will be fine if they are cold tolerant breeds

Chickens generally tolerate cold much better than heat.

I have OEGBs. I take them in if it goes too much below -20F but other than that they're fine. I'm sure they'd be alright if I left them out---I just spoil my birds.

Welcome to BYC. My 2 OEGs have done fine in winter weather, but we only have few days a year lower than the teens. Mine like to roost on shelves in the coop, but you can use 2x4 roosts with the wide side up so they can keep their feet covered.
